3-Ingredient Protein Waffles
Over the years, I’ve gone through a lot of breakfast recipes and phases.
My perfect breakfast seems to be some combination of eggs (few to no yolks) and oats. It’s the one thing that keeps me energized and full better than anything else.
But a bowl of oats with scrambled eggs on the side can be pretty boring, morning after morning, right?
Good thing you can throw these simple ingredients in a blender and you’ve got pancake or waffle batter. Add half a banana to the batter for some extra flavor and a bit of sweetness.
Not bad for 3 ingredients and this recipe packs 30 g. of quality protein. Enjoy!

Yield 3-4 waffles // Serves 1
1/3 c. oats
1 c. egg whites
Optional: 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon, 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1. Preheat waffle iron.
2. Combine all ingredients in a blender until a smooth batter forms.
3. Spray waffle iron with non-stick spray. Pour batter into iron and close, letting it cook for 4-5 minutes or until no more steam is coming from the sides of the waffle iron. Keep the iron closed; opening and closing it will result in flat waffles.
4. Carefully remove cooked waffle from the iron and repeat with remaining batter. Top with berries and syrup of your choice. We like maple-flavored monk fruit sweetener by Lakanto!
NOTE: These are very low in fat and will be quiet eggy. They are delicious, simple, and filling, but if you’re looking for a crispy Belgian waffle, use a different recipe! These aren’t those! :)
